    Wow. I’ve spent the last week or two stealing time Wow. I’ve spent the last week or two stealing time wherever I could find it to read this historical fiction (aka. heavily-researched alternative history) surrounding Shakespeare’s poetry and drama, possibly written by a woman named Emilia Bassano. I’m blown away by the illusions to her life and perspective in the plays and poems we literature geeks have enjoyed that Shakespeare took credit for. I feel like I need to re-teach every lesson I’ve ever taught on Shakespeare. The parallel story here was just as good—Emilia’s descendent struggling to get her play performed and her voice heard. #jodipicoult if you love literature and especially if you enjoy Shakespeare, you should read this. #williamshakespeare #theater #historicalfiction #literature
    Finally got some more layers put in to my hair, wh Finally got some more layers put in to my hair, which was turning into a giant bush. I never realized that aging would require so much maintenance. Between the stretching, skincare, hair color, supplements, vitamins, workouts, walking, hot tub, quiet time, healthy eating, & doctors’ appointment, this business of getting older and maintaining your vigor and energy is an act of intention. But I am determined to be an active grandparent and to live a long, healthy life with movement, joy, and his little medication as possible. In the last couple months, I’ve lost 13 pounds, balanced my hormones, jumpstarted my metabolism, and started sleeping amazing. I’m turning 60 this year, but I don’t wanna look like it!
